Our Field Trip to the Zoo

Our first graders and several first grade parents bundled up and took a walk around the zoo! Our students walked around in groups. The groups were made based on the animal each group is researching in their reading class. They went on a scavenger hunt, read informational signs, dictated answers to questions about the habitat, and took photographs with a disposable camera (you can view the photos below). It was a successful trip! Some students saw pandas playing down a hill, elephants taking a bath, and orangutans dressing up in clothes! It was very eventful!
